Dar es Salaam Trade Exhibition is an annual event organized by Tan Trade in collaboration with public and private sectors each year in SabaSaba grounds. It has positioned itself as an international trade promotion platform considered to be the largest of its kind in the Eastern and Central African Region in terms of the number of exhibitors and visitors.
Ms. Latifa Khamis, the Director of TANTRADE was heavily impressed with our works for the community as well as our continuous projects.
She decided to waive fees for trade exhibition at Saba Saba grounds for Youth Investors Association and gave us a stall to present our alumni and their products for the public to generate income for the youth.
In this opportunity, we were able to showcase drones, banana peeling machines, electric inverters, shoes, cosmetics and clothing designed by our different alumni.
We gave this opportunity to our alumni, and they were happy to share their businesses with us to earn profits through the sales at the event. This also helped them in getting relevant connections and exposures for their growth and development.
All our alumni came with their products and presented themselves professionally and passionately. This was a great opportunity for sales for our youth, but more than that it gave them exposure in the community as over 10,000 people visited our stalls and they had been featured in the medias too.
This was a very impactful project, and marked the support of the government towards the organization.
