Youth empowerment an talent exhibition was a major undertaking by YIA. We were fortunate to host over 10 schools, colleges & universities in this project. A total of around 400 audience were able to participate.
The whole idea of this project was to uncover the hidden passion and talent of youth as students in our city.
The program started by featuring all our talented students, youth from diverse interests such as music, dance, fashion and painting among several others were able to perform to a very energetic audience. For many of them, this was their first times, and for many others this became the start of a long talent development journey.
The other focus was on empowerment of talented youth who were characterized with lack of knowledge to capitalize on their talents and lack of funds to monetize themselves.
Several top personalities from the talent industry showed up at the event, this included top journalists, artists and the directors of top companies in Tanzania.
These personalities were able to congratulate the youth, empower them with resources and opportunities in the industry. Many were able to deliver very encouraging and directional speeches which were appreciated by the audience and helped us achieve our overall goals.
